Mammoth, saber toothed cats, short faced bears and

dire wolves roamed Long Island for thousands

of years after the glaciers melted.

The First People trained their dogs to hunt and in the image below we see the dogs on the attack. They help separate a single animal from the herd then slow it down.

Hunters attack the Mammoth with spears. The Clovis points to the left and right were found on the Twin Forks.

Clovis points tell us that large animals were hunted here long ago
